Scottese (Scottish Terrier-Shetland Sheepdog mix) dogs are intelligent and affectionate with some independent streaks. They sport either a long, soft Sheltie coat or a hard, wiry Scottie coat. Likewise, their ears can be folded like a Sheltie or erect like a Scottie. Generally a loyal, high-energy dog, they need daily exercise and stimulation to keep their minds active. They are well suited for active families.
